CHAFFERS MARINA COVID-19 RED

The COVID-19 Protection Framework RED came into force as of 3 January 2022. Wellington is designated RED.

The current framework (red) is about protecting one another, keeping our health system running well and businesses open. CML has in place the required procedures but they are only effective if all marina users adhere to them (including QR scanning, wearing of masks, notifying CML office of tests/test results and not allowing shadowing through the gates).

The HSE of CML Staff is our priority for the COVID-19 Protection Framework systems at CML; the next priority is Live Aboard Community.

Staff consider it essential that anyone entering our enclosed work areas (or having direct contact with CML Staff) are vaccinated and therefore proof of vaccination will be required (all CML Staff are vaccinated).

We consider it acceptable that proof of vaccine is either by:

  • scanning a Vaccination Passport at the CML office (we have a CML Phone at the office set up to do this); or
  • if vaccine passport holders can email a screen shot of their vaccination passport to the CML office (office@chaffersmarina.co.nz); or
  • show a paper copy of their vaccine passport at the CML Office.

CML will need to know who is vaccinated in order to enable access to the onshore facilities. Proof of vaccine will only occur once and access will be enabled until the expiry of a vaccination passport.

The following procedures are agreed to:

VACCINE PASSPORT – must be provided

  1. A vaccine passport for any CML Stakeholder wishing to access the CML Officesharedfacilities (bathrooms/storage) or boat lift is required. The Vaccination Passport can either be scanned (at the CML Office) OR a screen shot can be emailed to the CML Office OR show a paper copy of a Vaccination Passport to the CML Office.
  2. CML Card Access to the onshore facilities will only be enabled for those who hold a current vaccination passport (includes Contractors, shareholders, tenants, crew, guests etc).
  3. CML Access Cards will not be transferrable – CML Card Access to the facilities is linked to a current vaccination passport and therefore a CML Access Card cannot be handed to someone who either does not have a vaccination passport ORhas not provided proof of vaccination to the CML Office (as per point 1).
  4. Proof of Vaccination will only occur once and access to the facilities will remain in place until the expiry of the vaccination passport.

VACCINE PASSPORT – trust model

  1. Access to piers should only be undertaken by holders of a Vaccine Passport (including contractors). No checks will be carried out by CML. It is the responsibility of the skipper to ensure that guests or non CML Access Card holders have a current vaccination passport.
  2. Random audits will be undertaken to ensure this model is being followed especially for the onshore facilities.

CML OFFICE ACCESS

  1. As of 3 January 2022 the CML Office will be available (visitors will be asked to maintain social distancing, wear a mask and provide proof of a vaccine passport).

COVID-19 GENERAL

  1. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, please do not come to the marina (including crew and/or guests).
  2. If you have COVID-19, do not come to the marina.
  3. A full COVID-19 Risk Assessment has been undertaken; these guidelines may change pending advice or guidelines from the Ministry of Health.
  4. CML encourages anyone NOTvaccinated to contact the CML General Manager (especially if Live Aboard).
  5. The wearing of face coverings and social distancing will be maintained within the onshore facilities and highly recommended when on the piers.

COVID-19 ISOLATION

  1. If you live onboard a vessel, you need to consider the implications of isolation should you be diagnosed with COVID-19.
  2. CML onshore facilities WILL NOTbe available to a patient with COVID-19 (in isolation) or a patient in isolation awaiting COVID 19 test results.
  3. The decision to isolate on board a vessel will be between the MoH and vessel owner. As highlighted, CML facilities cannot be used and the CML Office must be notified of anyone isolating.
  4. NOTE: Only those approved Live Aboards (as of 8.30am, 25 January 2022) are authorised and approved to live on board a vessel in the marina, especially now that the Omicron Variant is circulating.
