Owning a berth
A Chaffers berth is held under a licence to occupy through to 2058: a waterfront asset you can use, rent out, or sell.
How ownership works
Berths at Chaffers Marina are owned as a licence to occupy, backed by a shareholding in Chaffers Marina Holdings Limited. Owners pay an annual fee made up of three parts; the licence fee, asset & maintenance (A&M) fee, and the insurance fee which together fund marina operations, insurance, security and the long-term renewal programme (LTAMP).

- The best rates on the boat lift, fuel and living aboard
- Parking at the marina, subject to availability
- Sell on the open market at any time

Chaffers Marina licence, A&M and insurance fees from 1 July 2026. Fees are reviewed annually. 11 m and 13 m berths share the licence and A&M fee of the size below; insurance is per metre.
Other costs to consider
Your annual fee covers the licence, A&M and insurance. Depending on how you use your boat, a few things sit outside it, so factor them in before you buy.

Fixed monthly charge
Prices inc. GST, charged per month. Shore power is a fixed charge by supply rating; the live-aboard fee and boat-lift levy apply on top of your ownership fees.
