Since our August update, Undersea Construction Limited (UCL) has carried out the planned strengthening works on the walkway between Piers D and E.
- Done: the intermediate underpinning piles are in. Rods have been installed deep into the seabed and sleeved, and the temporary walkway to Pier E was moved to make room for the work.
- During October: UCL worked offsite on preparation, including fabricating and galvanising materials.
- Next: UCL returns to finish the D to E section, grouting the underpinning piles, fitting brackets to the wharf and completing the remaining work.
- After that: in line with the schedule shared in August, UCL moves on to a new gangway and gate for Pier E, along with an underwater inspection of the floating breakwater’s anchor chains.
Pier A’s security components are still awaiting delivery. We will confirm the installation date once they arrive.
We will keep berth holders updated on any access changes as each stage begins. Thank you for your patience while the work is under way. You can follow the whole programme on our LTAMP page.
